Japan-EU Action Plan on IPR Protection and Enforcement
Launched by the 16th Japan-EU Summit in 2007 as joint statement’s annex. Japan and EU strengthened their existing Joint Initiative by expanding the both geographical and thematic scope of cooperation. The action plan is to be reviewed annually in the Japan-EU IPR Dialogue and the Summit Meeting.

Japan-EU Joint Initiative for the Enforcement of IPR in Asia
In the 13th Japan-EU Summit in 2004, Japan and EU agreed to cooperate in preventing counterfeit and pirated goods. In October 2004, joint seminar was held by Japan, EU and China in Beijing.
